ORIGINAL SUPREME GRAND CHAPTER “OUR HISTORY”

On September 13, 2009 a meeting was called under the direction of the President General of the Original John G. Jones General Grand Masonic Congress of Grand Masters, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Incorporated for the purpose of organizing a Supreme Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. The four (4) Grand Chapters involved was Naomi Grand Chapter of Arkansas, Hannah Grand Chapter of New Jersey, Hadassah Grand Chapter of the Pennsylvania and Mary Elizabeth Grand Chapter of Texas.

The Original Supreme Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, process of organizing started with four states, Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Arkansas September 27, 2009. The purpose of the meeting was to hold an election of Officers for the Original Supreme Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

The Original Supreme Grand Chapter, organizing process continued December 20, 2009 to discuss any changes, plans, and goals for the installation ceremonies, shared information, and directions to assist the sisters with the installation process.

The Original Supreme Grand Chapter, organizing process continued February, 23, 2010 to fill out the appointed officers and select the bylaws committee.

The Original Supreme Grand Chapter,  organizing process  continued  with  the  By-Laws  Committee meeting  May, 20, 2010 for the approval of the bylaws so that they will be ready for the inauguration in June.

On Friday June 25, 2010 in the State of New Jersey, the Inauguration and Installation Ceremonies of members of the Original Supreme Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of the United States of America and its Territories and Dependencies affiliated with The Original John G. Jones General Grand Masonic Congress of Grand Masters, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of the United States of America and Canada, Incorporated was installed.

In July of 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas, Imani Grand Chapter O.E.S. of the State of Tennessee joined The Original Supreme Grand Chapter.

On July 30, 2016 Sister Charlotte Pitman was elected as the Supreme Grand Matron of the Original Supreme Grand Chapter.
